Our birthing aka whelping boxes are designed to keep our newborns warm and safe from drafts and other pets in our home. Designed to provide our moms with enough privacy to nurse their babies and also hop out when they need to take a break from their babies.
After the puppies turn 3 weeks of age and begin weaning off moms milk onto puppy mush, they are moved down into our common living space. They listen to everyday living being exposed to normal household sounds like blenders, vacuums, visitors knocking at the door, radio, television, emergency response vehicles, etc.
During this time we also take the time to play various soundtracks like thunderstorms and babies crying to get them accustomed to possible new family situations.
We also begin potty training, introducing puppies to new textures, steps, wobble boards, toys etc. all in efforts to set them up for success before going to their forever homes.
Access to private outdoor space where they can run and play with the adults.
A space where they can gain confidence and continue to develop strong and healthy muscles through regular exercise and play!
