October 12 & 13, 2024 in Augusta, NJ
For Bruce's first time out in the show ring in BPUP he did such an amazing job. On the first day, he won Best of Breed then took a Group 2 win. As if that wasn't enough, on his second day at the Ramapo Kennel Club in Augusta, NJ he won Best of Breed again and received a Group 1 placement. The very kind judge acknowledged his nice movement and structure. All in all this boy is already exceeding my expectations and I am looking forward to even more success with him in AKC conformation. He's a natural!!
Group 3 Placement & a 5 Point Major - April 21, 2024
That's right folks! Delphine did an excellent job winning over a couple of judges to win herself a Group 3 placement and a FIVE points to gain her very first Major. This girls show career is so exciting to watch. Stay tuned to see her bring home more ribbons! 🏆🥇
This was Luther's very first time out in the BPUP ring. He had so much fun trotting around the ring, wasn't scared of anything, tried to say hi to every person and dog he passed by. This was also my first dog show with two dogs to show - it was quite interesting trying to remember ring times and which ring to be at for both. All in all it was a great go around and both my pups and I are having fun.
This time around at the Harrisburg cluster dog show, Stevie and I did really well. I couldn't be more proud of her. She didn't pace, she trotted on the proper gait, self stacked really well in the ring and was an all around star. We got first place both days and got the opportunity to compete in the winners ring. Steps (no pun intended) in the right direction. I am giving this girl a little break before our next round of shows to grow out some more hair. In the meantime, I will be attending PCA (Poodle Club of America) in St. Louis, Missouri to meet more Poodle enthusiasts. I hope to learn more from other breeders and professional handlers to strengthen my knowledge and care of this wonderful breed.
As always so proud of my girl Stevie, she did very well showing at the Edison dog show. More importantly, I would like to thank our judge Mr. Darryl Vice for being so amazing in offering us some very helpful tips to correct Stevie's gait when in the ring. This particular show she decided to pace instead of the proper gait when showing in the ring. While we didn't get first place, I am super excited as we continue to learn to be a great team together and have fun more than anything! Look for us or stop by and say hi as we show at the Harrisburg dog cluster in April in Stevie's continental trim.
Stevie placed 3rd both days in a row at the York Cluster dog show. With that said, she still did very well and has come a long way. There was some pretty tough competition in the ring with some of the top professional Poodle handlers. Needless to say I have learned quite a bit from many of the Poodle enthusiasts at this show which I am forever grateful for. Please send your good vibes as Stevie competes in her last couple of dog shows next weekend in her "Puppy Trim/Cut" in Edison, NJ. Stevie turns 1 year old on April 5th. She will be groomed into the Continental Poodle trim for her upcoming shows in April.
Stevie and I did so well this weekend for our first dog show since last year. We took the time off to grow out her hair and do more training. Just goes to show, hard work and time off has paid off! She placed 2nd for both days this weekend and I am so proud of her. Stay tuned for our upcoming show in York, Pennsylvania March 18-19th.
